Just one of those days...already!

Today has been one of those days! [& its only 15 til 10!!!] We've been having a problem since our dog has come into heat, with our neighbor's male dog. We keep our dog on a run when she is outside, we do not let her run the streets! But no one else [and i'm not exagerating] keeps their dogs put up. They are all lose in their yards. Its pretty frustrating! So last nite Matt had a talk with the owners of the male dog & said they would keep their dog put up, & do EVERYTHING they could to keep him off our property. [they had no clue that our dog has already had a litter of puppies by their dog! but Matt let them know last nite!] At 7:30 this morning, who do I see in our yard? Thats right, sperm donor!! I am NOT happy about this. Luckily i'm not the only one. We are getting our dog fixed after she comes out of heat, so we just need this bastard of a dog to stay away for a few weeks so that we're in the clear. I will NOT be taking care of multiple puppies and a newborn baby all at the same time! Its just NOT happening! I didn't enjoy taking care of puppies before, and I don't want to take care of them now, or ever again! They are cute, as long as they are not in my house! I guess my biggest thing is that if we are willing to keep are dog on a run, so she can not go trolluping around the streets, then everyone else should as well. Or if not, everyone should get their dogs fixed so no one ends up with a litter of pups! I can not wait to get Lady fixed. It's going to be great! :)

Okay, well, I got that out of my system. I'm okay now, until I see that dog again, then my rage will be out of control again!! :/

Just one of my Favorite Pics!

I just had to add this picture. I love it! Lady has been in our family since she was only a few months old. We found her sleeping on a trash bag, full of trash by the street next to my parents house 2 days before Christmas, 2 years ago this December. She was so tiny, I would have never imagined her growing as big as she is today. She is truely member of the family. Mackenzie & Lady play all the time together. And Lady is definitely a show when it comes to her running around outside. She is one of the fastest dogs I've ever seen run!
--This picture was taken a coupld months ago when Matt woke up to go to work one morning & found Mackenzie & Lady asleep on our bedroom floor. Lady was even laying her head on Mackenzie's pillow and covered with Mackenzie's Hello Kitty blanket.

12 weeks left!

WEEK 27

How your baby's growing:

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

How your life's changing:

The second trimester is drawing to a close, but as your body gears up for the final lap, you may start noticing some new symptoms. Along with an aching back, for example, you may find that your leg muscles cramp up now and then. They're carrying extra weight, after all, and your expanding uterus is putting pressure on the veins that return blood from your legs to your heart as well as on the nerves leading from your trunk to your legs. Unfortunately, the cramps may get worse as your pregnancy progresses. Leg cramps are more common at night but can also happen during the day. When a cramp strikes, stretching the calf muscle should give you some relief. Straighten your leg and then gently flex your toes back toward your shin. Walking for a few minutes or massaging your calf sometimes helps, too.

-This last week has gone by so fast! I'm still amazed that i'm sitting here writing that i'm going into my 27th week, when it seems like just yesterday I was going into my 26th week! How crazy. I definitely hope the rest of my pregnancy goes by like this. Now we only have at the MOST, 12 weeks left until we meet Emily via C-Section. We are so very anxious to see baby Emily. Matt & I are both equally anxious to see what she looks like. I always tell him how crazy it would be if she came out looking just like me, like Mackenzie does. lol. But that would be boring, because then we'd know what she would look like when she got older. I hope she has brown hair. Out of 10 grandkids she would be only the second to have brown hair. :) Everyone one else has blonde hair and blue eyes. I honestly don't care what she looks like when its all said and done, I just want her here...but i'm willing to wait until at LEAST the end of November. I want her to be well developed and ready when she makes her entrance.

-ON TO OTHER THINGS-

-There are only 11 more day until Mackenzie's 5th birthday! I can not believe my baby girl is going to be five, and will no longer be my baby. [just bc I have a new baby doesn't mean she has to stop being my baby, right?!] She amazes me everyday with the things she says. She is so smart and so outgoing. I know there are amazing things to come in her future. I can not wait!

-Tonight we are going to my cousins place to watch the UFC fight 119. I'm pretty excited about it. I love UFC! And ofcourse its always nice to get out and spend time with awesome friends/family. Looking forward to it, but will definitely be needing a nap before we head out. Waking up at 6am on a Saturday just isn't right! :/

-Have an amazing weekend everyone! I know I will!-

26 weeks

Week 26

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

Total Weight Gain: 12lbs [+] [probably closer to 15 now]

Maternity Clothes: i love my jeans. they are from my pregnancy with Mackenzie & oh so very comfy. my last 3 t-shirts are getting impossible to wear out in public. makes me sad!

Gender: Girl! Emily Grace

Movement: she has been giving us some pretty good shows lately.

Food Craving: cici's pizza.

What I miss: enjoying a glass of something good to drink. :)

What I am looking forward to: holding my baby girl ofcourse!

Big Sister: asks at least 3 times a day "When is my baby going to be here?" she's anxious.

So much fun!

I am seriously having way too much fun lately planning Mackenzie's birthday party, Emily's baby shower & decorating ideas for the baby room! I wish I had all the money in the world so I could get it all done in one day! :) I am so blessed to have such a talented cousin who is willing to do Mackenzie's birthday cup cakes & the cake for the baby shower! She is amazing! There is only 3 weeks left until Mackenzie's party and I know its going to come in the blink of an eye. [my eye, more specifically!] The weekend after that is the baby shower. I can not wait! I'm so excited for all the exciting things coming in the next few months! I must say, I am pretty blessed!

Light at the end of the Tunnel

Just when you think that everything has fallen into mediocracy with your life, someone comes and surprises you. Letting you know that you mean everything, and nothing would be the same with out you. I have an extraordinary life, and I love it. :)

Mayhem Monday

-Mackenzie slept in until about 10. Now I know why. She was busy getting into stuff she shouldn't have been. That 'stuff' was chocolate milk powder mix. Lovely.

I'll admit I had a melt down and cried for a good 30 minutes while Mackenzie sat on the couch in fear of her life, but I made it through. She got her t.v. taken away for a little while. I'm not sure how long it will be out of her room, but geez, she's lucky thats all thats happening. She is very very upset about her beloved t.v. getting taken away. She loves that thing! But I love NOT having to clean up chocolate products out of the carpet!!!!
-Also as another punishment EVERYTHING in her room that had chocolate mix on it got thrown away. Mackenzie really, really, really didn't like this! She was in tears. I made her throw out all the toys with chocolate powder on it, instead of me doing it. It definitely had a greater affect on her. I feel bad a little, but not much. She has never done anything like this before and I can't believe she actually did it. We will definitely be buying some cabinet locks soon.

All I have to say is thank the Lord new carpet is in our near future!

Really?

This whole pregnancy is seeming to just fly by out of no where!! I'm going to have to admit that I may be freaking out just a bit. Emily will be here in 3 months...3 MONTHS! I have made it 6 months, as of today, and now, its flying by. October has 4 major events: Mackenzie's 5 birthday & birthday party, the baby shower for Emily & Halloween. November is full of buying Christmas decor and gifts, Thanksgiving & Black Friday. [yes, I consider this a major event] :) And then theres December...Yeah, its coming that fast! I'm freaking.

I can not wait to meet this little girl, and I know everyone else feels the same. Its been 5 years since we welcomed a new baby into our lives. But the thought of having two kids is hitting hard, and all at once! Wow.
